I have two very different movies to review today. I will be reviewing "How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" and "Isn't It Romantic." Before I get started, I'd like to give a shoutout to the Free Gamer's Alliance YouTube channel. Their videos cover everything from walkthroughs, glitches, easter eggs, and various amusing video game related content, all of which is delivered with some colorful commentary while they have buckets of fun doing it. Lets get this started with "Isn't It Romantic?" Here is the trailer:
- The cast is impressive. They all have great comedic timing and are clearly having lots of fun throughout the movie.
- There are a lot of really funny moments that will have you laughing out loud.
- This movie does a fantastic job making fun of a lot of the genres of romantic comedies.
- There is a really nice plot twist in the third act. It may be a little bit cheesy but it is well thought out and is perfect for this movie.
- There are a few moments where this movie does flirt with becoming the very thing it is making fun of and it can be a little frustrating.
- The final scene of this movie is really bad. It doesn't add anything to the movie and it just feels a bit excessive.
"Isn't It Romantic" isn't going to be a classic by any means but it is a good time that got me laughing and ultimately provided an enjoyable experience. I would recommend this if you are looking to turn your brain off and have a good laugh.
It is time to move on to "How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World." Here is the trailer:
- The animation is incredible as always. Everything is a treat for the eyes and is made for the big screen.
- Once again, the voice acting is perfect.
- The characters are written in a way that it is easy for the audience to be invested in them. They are so likeable.
- There are some really great moments of comic relief throughout that will make you smile.
- The above mentioned comic relief moments are necessary as there are a lot of really emotional moments throughout. I felt so many things while watching this.
- This movie is well paced, there is no point that feels like it drags on longer than it needs to.
- There are so many truly great action scenes. These are just as good as many of the action scenes in some of the best action movies released in the last little while.
- Finally, the movies ending wraps up this trilogy in a way that is perfectly satisfying.
- There is honestly nothing I can think of for this section.
"How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" is one of those rare franchise end movies that really succeeds at wrapping everything up well. It is a great way to send off a great series and I absolutely recommend seeing it!
